Ah well, there are some place in GnuPG were it is not possible to do this;
> aasmunds$bz <~> gpg --export aasmunds | gpg --homedir nob
The default operation when gpg encounters a keyring is to list the
content of the keyring without much further processing. 
Better use gpg --list-keys
