Nothing: your syntax is correct. It is search.keyserver.net's problem, not
yours. Just use another keyserver in the future, as keyserver.net has been
flaky like this for quite a while. Two keyservers I use often:
ks.cryptnet.net
pgp.mit.edu
Also remember that once you find one that works, you can put it in your
options file so you don't have to keep typing it. :)
