ASCII versus BINARY ftp of encrypted file -- post ftp fixup?

Just to bring you all up to date, a good version of the file was finally
sent!
Turns out that the ftp process was dropping the <CR> on two of the three
legitimate occurrences of <CR><LF>.  Don't know which side was dropping but
those two bytes dropped out of the middle sure made for an interesting day
here!

And, if I should ever ask again, just because there is an <LF> sitting in
the file doesn't mean that a <CR> should precede it!
