trouble with receiving PGP 7.0.3 encrypted files

The reason for this is most likely that the encrypted message was 
quoted-printable encoded but that for some reason the 
Content-Transfer-Encoding was changed from quoted-printable to 8bit 
(without actually recoding the contents of the message). Therefore 
KMail (and probably also Evolution) assumes that the message is 8bit 
encoded and therefore doesn't need to be decoded. Sending the 
quoted-printable encoded message body to GnuPG will fail with the error 
message you reported. Maybe PGP 7.0.3 is smart enough to work around 
this problem.
