hi list,
i have been thinking about whether modern war is related to this lists theme or 
not. 
if gpg is software to ensure that the information you get is reliable (in many 
aspects and besides other functionality)
and we assume that the information we get about modern wars through our mass 
media is NOT reliable
then discussions about modern war are not off topic.

this would be another way of protesting. as far as i understood the discussion 
the point was NOT to protest on a project site if the protests objective is off 
topic the project. (to be true: personally i find this to be a hypercritic 
discussion)
