Odd. I have it, and I don't know Dennis personally.

uriel:~% gpg --list-key 16DE8D28
pub 4096R/F53BA904 2003-04-21 Dennis Patrick Lambe Jr.
uid Dennis Patrick Lambe Jr. <dl001i at>
uid Dennis Patrick Lambe Jr. <malsyned at>
sub 1024D/16DE8D28 2003-04-21
sub 4096g/BCE387ED 2003-04-21

Some, yes, since they mangle subkeys. should be safe, though, and I assumed that's where
I'd gotten this key, but:

humbug:~% gpg --recv-key 16DE8D28
gpg: requesting key 16DE8D28 from
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
gpg: Total number processed: 0

On the system where I already have Dennis's key:

uriel:~% gpg --recv-key 16DE8D28
gpg: requesting key 16DE8D28 from
gpg: key F53BA904: "Dennis Patrick Lambe Jr." not changed
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: unchanged: 1

Could it be considered a bug that gpg doesn't tell me it was unable
to fetch the key if I already have it?
