Crypto workshop in Germany

Hi!

Since the beginning of the GnuPG project, the German Unix User Group
(GUUG) has supported us by providing a machine and paying for the
traffic.  So it is all due to publish a short annoucement.

There will be a workshop on crypto math on the first July weekend.
Its addressed to everyone with an interest in public key cryptography
and basic mathematical knowledge.  It will be held in German and is
not gratis, though:

 Tagtäglich nutzen wir Verschlüsselungsverfahren, aber kaum jemand
 weiß genau, was mathematisch dahinter steckt, und noch weniger, warum
 zumindest vermuten kann, dass die genutzten Verfahren sicher sind.

 Deshalb veranstaltet die GUUG erstmals einen Workshop zu diesem
 Thema, der am Beispiel von RSA gezielt auf diese Fragen
 eingeht. Dabei muß man keinesfalls Mathematiker sein, um folgen zu
 können, eine gewisse Übung im Umgang mit Formeln sollte aber
 vorhanden sein.
