Typically, this is done with the assistance of an email plugin.
Probably the most popular Windows email client that has GnuPG support
is Thunderbird (http://www.mozilla.com) with the Enigmail plug-in
(http://enigmail.mozdev.org). I've used this combination for years
with great success.

The Enigmail mailing list is also a very newbie-friendly place.
There are lots of people there who will be able to help you in
getting Enigmail set up and configured appropriately.
