Well, gnupg currently distributes four different pinentries:

 pinentry-gtk2
 pinentry-qt4
 pinentry-curses
 pinentry-tty

:)  I'm assuming that Neal is adding this hook to pinentry-gtk2, and not
to the others, but i haven't checked.
