Yes, that's exactly what I meant :-). That makes it easier on the eyes
to distinguish where prose is and where shell output is.

And when you reply to e-mails, please strip qoutes to the minimum
necessary to provide context. It's a mailing list, so anyone wanting to
read what the previous e-mail said can simply do so in the original
mail. Quoting is only to provide context what you are replying to.
