you don't have to compile those on your own. we provide a repository with most 
recent packages:

 https://repos.gnupg.org/deb/gnupg/questing/

there's also a blog article on the repos that might be helpful:

note that we're currently shipping gnupg 2.5 in both the "stable" and "devel" 
repos, we'll need to update the blog post on that. 2.4 will be EOL soon.

packages for 26.04 ("resolute") are in preparation -- there had been some 
issues with creating the build image before its actual release that are now 
resolved, fortunately.
