New Issue was created.

Issue 568: https://gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls/issues/568
Author: Tim Rühsen
Assignee:

The fast-forward (FF) policy doesn't work well when merging multiple MRs. Each MR has to be rebased (via Gitlab UI), then the CI runs again (which takes >1h). While the MR whose pipeline succeeds first is ff-merged into master, the remaining MRs have to (manually) rebased again (with another CI run), etc. ...

This takes a lot attention and time from the involved developers (=> it's tedious). Time that could be better spent with coding...

So, what is exactly the caveats for not allowing regular merges ?
