I actually tried this first:
> gpg --import keyfile.asc
But got an error telling me a private key was in the file, and suggesting to
use:
> gpg --allow-secret-key-import --import keyfile.asc
..which did the job.
I think this might be part of the FAQ, I have came across this several times
when "moving" someone from PGP to GPG.
