As far as I know is the 0.4 branch is still under development and
subject to incompatible changes. For example, what will become 0.4.1
is not compatible with 0.4.0 due to changes in the signature
verification interface.
GPA is using the development version because some of the new features
were considered essential (particularly the key signatures interface).
Unless you do need them, I'd recommend that you stay with the 0.3
stable branch.
