gnupgp-1.2.3 (et al) build workarounds for OpenBSD 3.2 and IBM AIX 4.x

I've now tried all of the suggestions that have been posted, 
and many combinations of each.  I've also just tried 1.3.3 
but still have the same issue.

Thanks to those who responded with various suggestions.
Unfortunately I have to bow to other pressures, and hence 
use a proprietary piece of software, but I'll try again 
later.  Unless someone can send me a binary :-)
