Yes, I think this is a good idea.  I doubt that we can still source copy
that file to 1.4 (which was the original idea) and it also does not make
sense to put a lot effort into keeping it source compatible to 2.0.
After all we will add an end-of-life statement to 2.0 after 2.1 is more
matured.
