gpg 2.1.x can't retrieve any keys from any keyservers, gpg 2.0.x can ?

As I started off:  it's a 'free' app.  

The project wants help from users, but when 'we' do, there's the same old mantra about money ...

Payment & spare-time cut both ways.

So saving everyone -- myself incldued -- any further valuable time & effort, I'll ACK that the 'hail-mary' failed, simply remove / block 2.1.x for my users/clients, and move on.
