The cheapest phones you can get here have at least 800Mhz ARMv6 CPUs!
My current one has a Quad-Core 4x1,5Ghz ARMv7.

I don't think that will be any problem!
On slow phones maybe you have to wait a few seconds, but you probably
won't send that many mails on your phone that it matters.
